Since operations opened on the Northern Superyacht yard in February 2020 we have attracted several of the regions standout luxury Superyachts.
Arriving from southern and the northern reaches of Australia they have travelled to the Gold Coast by way of a ‘pit stop’ destination to service, maintain, refit & repair here at the newest state-of-art premium shipyard. Enjoying the bespoke facilities of the Captains Lounge, onsite Marine services and Chandlery supplies and not to mention taking in the welcoming hospitality that The Boat Works has become renowned for.
‘Rhino’ Gold Coast’s largest boat hoist at 300 tonne has been put to good use over the last 3 mths.
Lifting Vegas out of the water at 180 tonnes was an achievable target within a record breaking time. ‘Such an efficient and controlled lift, within a short haul out time’; has been the general feedback from crew on the day of the lift.
True credit to the team of professional Shipyard Crew on the job. An unparalleled team who meticulously pre-planned and prepared for the 121′ Sunseeker’s hoist from the water.
37m Sunseeker, VEGAS has enjoyed the relationship with the facility over the last month whilst here. Initially experiencing the new Superyacht alongside berthing option that offered ease of access, deep water and unlimited power choice with direct access to all essential services.
The Superior Jetty constructed berths offer exceptionally wide walkways which have helped assist with the provisioning and off-loading of the luxury vessels tenders, skis and various watersport equipment and toys.
Vegas took on the option to Haul out and experience the open Hardstand for her day spa treatment by the Detailing professionals at The Boat Butler.
The Sunseeker is now set to return to water and continue to dock here onsite within the facility whilst on the market.
The spectacular tri-deck yacht at 37 meters will be available to inspect direct through Alexander Marine Australia located here adjacent to The Galley Restaurant.
Client Testimonial: Motor Yacht Vegas, Greg Numa, Master
It has been 1 month since arriving at The Boat Works for our annual maintenance program for our Motor Yacht Vegas. Having been a long standing loyal client of another shipyard in the precinct, and with them unable to accomodate me this year, I was keen to experience The Boat Works New Superyacht facility.
Shane and Clint had over the past couple of years, whenever they saw me at boat shows or events talked up the expansion works taking place at The Boat Works to accomodate yachts of our size.
On first glance the Superyacht facility is first class.
From the office and yard staff, berthing and Captains Club Lounge, it is obvious Tony has taken the time and thought process required to build, not just a Superyacht Yard but a World Class maintenance showpiece.
Building any new business takes time, persistence, passion and commitment. What stands out with this yard is the people and there passion and care for the client.
The staff at The Boat Works go out of their way to ensure you are catered for in every aspect of your time in the yard. Tony Longhurst has built a reputation for taking on any challenge and making it a success through hard work and determination. This reflects in not only his staff, but also throughout the many contractors associated with the yard.
I am personally impressed with my 40 years being in this industry to see a visionary take on a project as large as this one, and succeed in setting a new bar height for others to challenge in this industry and precinct.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have experienced the service and care given to me by The Boat Works group.
