The North Coast Speedboat Classics will hold their annual SHOW DAY, Saturday 28 September at Garage 25 car museum and Espresso Twenty5 Cafe located at The Boat Works.
With the aim of gathering with like-minded lovers of all types of older style speedboats and raising the profile of these classic vessels, the group has close to 5,000 members and hosts regular events and river runs throughout the year.
“We love bringing people together to share their passion and have fun with their older boats,” comments Jeff Reardon, Club President. “Often members meet up with people they’ve not seen for decades. We don’t race, although sometimes it’s hard to contain the adrenaline of some drivers!”
On Saturday 28 September, Garage 25 Car Museum and Café Espresso Twenty5 will welcome members and the public, from 11am till 2pm for The Boat Works’ first classic speedboat show!
There will be around 40 classic boats on display spanning 20 different brands.
Entry is free. There will be a donation box in the Museum with funds going to support Dementia Australia.
“This is a classic boat enthusiast’s dream day out,” adds Jeff. “There will be so much to see, including Tony Longhurst’s amazing collection of vintage and classic cars, food and entertainment.”
On Sunday 29 September, members and participating boats will launch from Gold Coasts Santa Barbara boat ramp at around 10am and cruise for a lunch stop at Tipplers South Stradbroke Island weather permitting.
