Jan explained the new precinct is like their own little community similar to when you’re on a marina and you welcome a sundowner or two with your neighbours.

Connecting with cruisers, like-minded boaties, we get together post a day on the tools and enjoy a BBQs in the new facilities.

The air-conditioned lounge has offered a relief and a safe haven out of the elements to catch up on emails and correspondence.

The Boat Works’ owner and CEO, Tony Longhurst said his aim is to create an oasis for owners, crew and the local community through environmentally-friendly enhancements.

“This ethos underpins everything we do here,” said Tony. “Our customers, owners and visiting crews are the beneficiaries of this commitment to the highest standards, but it’s the River and the environment that benefit long-term.”
