We’re thrilled as today marks the grand opening of additional sheds and hardstand at The Boat Works world-class marine facility. The new Precinct is now open for business with even MORE sheds and Hardstand to accommodate a fleet of boats.
The New Sheds are ahead of schedule with secured advance bookings for vessel refit & maintenance works ahead of the Whitsundays migration and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show 2024.
Our new facility is a game-changer, not only increasing the onsite shed capacity to over 80 individual sheds onsite but also provides the luxury of choice for an enhanced & controlled work environment for Boat Maintenance and Refit.
The expanded facilities in the new northern precinct of The Boat Works boosts the out-of-water capacity by 50 percent. Adding an entire new dimension to the Northern Superyacht facility doubling the capacity just four short years from the Superyacht precincts opening in 2020.
Boat Owner, Captains and Marine Trades now have the flexibility of choice to choose their allocated covered work shed across the expansive and dynamic site. We all know optimal results are attained when working undercover, feasible deadlines can be achieved plus the peace of mind that comes with knowing the boat is safe and secure from the elements which all contributes to a successful outcome. Working in a sheltered environment will enhance efficiencies and ensures the owner’s confidence in the process.
In addition, The Boat Works team can allow for more precise allocation of specific vessels vs specific works, setting down the vessel in the most suitable precinct for the works.
Captain Peter was most satisfied with the lifting crew’s precision of the 115′ Motoryacht haul out. The 240+ ton vessel lift was achieved in a record turnaround time considering there was no need to remove radars nor overhead obstructions to fit within the new Refit Sheds at The Boat Works.
“The overall dimensions and abundance of space within the facilities sheds is a welcomed relief, saving us an entire day of labour which in the past at other venues we have had to navigate around overhead obstructions”, this time we went direct into the Shed.
Shed height onsite welcomes up to 20m clearance, adding to the seamless haul-out process to ensure a hassle-free experience for Captains.
