The Boat Works Backs Aaron Seton for 2026 Supercars Campaign 16/8/26

The Boat Works is proud to continue its support of Aaron Seton Racing as the third-generation motorsport talent takes another important step in his 2026 Repco Supercars Championship campaign with Matt Stone Racing.

The partnership brings together two very different worlds—boats and race cars—but with plenty in common. Performance, precision, preparation and a strong crew are essential whether lining up on the grid or preparing a vessel for its next passage.

There is also a strong personal motorsport connection behind The Boat Works’ support.

The Boat Works owner Tony Longhurst is himself a highly accomplished former racing driver and two-time Bathurst 1000 winner. Having experienced first-hand the commitment, opportunity and support required to succeed at the highest levels of Australian motorsport, Longhurst remains passionate about encouraging and backing the next generation of racing talent.

Supporting Aaron is a natural extension of that philosophy.

“Motorsport has given me some incredible opportunities over the years, and I know first-hand how important it is for emerging drivers to have the right support behind them as they build their careers,” Tony Longhurst said. “Aaron has tremendous ability and he’s worked hard to earn these opportunities. If we can play a part in helping an emerging Australian driver take that next step, then we’re very proud to do it.”

“Motorsport gave me some incredible opportunities throughout my career, so there’s something special about now being able to encourage the next generation and help them build their own story.” Tony Longhurst.

To celebrate Aaron’s upcoming Supercars campaign, The Boat Works welcomed motorsport fans to a special free livery unveiling and open day at its Coomera Marine facility, hosted within Longhurst’s private vintage and retro car collection at Garage 25.

Guests enjoyed a relaxed morning of motorsport, food and refreshments onsite while getting an up-close look at Aaron’s newly liveried Supercar and meeting the driver ahead of his next race weekend.

Adding another special dimension to the occasion was Australian motorsport legend and Aaron’s father, Glenn Seton, who joined guests for the unveiling.

A significant piece of Seton racing history was also showcased, with the iconic Peter Jackson Supercar on display alongside Aaron’s current race car—bringing together generations of Australian motorsport in one location.

For Longhurst, having Aaron and Glenn Seton onsite also represented a meeting of racing families whose careers have been intertwined with Australian motorsport for decades.

“Having Glenn here, Aaron here and the Peter Jackson car on display made it a very special morning,” Longhurst said.

“There’s an enormous amount of Australian racing history represented, but what’s exciting is looking forward and seeing Aaron creating the next chapter.”

The relationship between Aaron and The Boat Works already has strong racing foundations.

In 2018, Aaron raced alongside Matt Brabham and Tony Longhurst for The Boat Works Racing in the BMW M4 GT4 at the Bathurst 12 Hour, with the combination securing a class victory at Mount Panorama.

Eight years later, The Boat Works is once again onboard with Aaron, this time as he continues to establish himself at Supercars level.

Aaron Seton said:

“Tony understands racing from a driver’s perspective and knows what it takes to compete at this level, so having his support and The Boat Works behind me means a lot.

“We’ve already shared some great racing memories together and hopefully there are plenty more ahead.

“Having Dad there for the unveiling and seeing the Peter Jackson car alongside my Supercar was also pretty special. I’m extremely grateful to everyone who came out and to The Boat Works for supporting the next stage of my career.”

The Boat Works’ involvement extends well beyond branding on a race car. The partnership reflects a commitment to supporting Australian talent, encouraging the next generation and bringing the wider Gold Coast community together.

Normally home to everything from cruising yachts to some of Australia’s largest superyachts, the 55-acre marine precinct swapped nautical horsepower for racetrack horsepower for the special occasion.

And while Longhurst may have swapped the race track for the boatyard, his passion for performance remains firmly intact.

Today, that experience is helping another young Australian driver chart his own course.

As Aaron prepares for his next Supercars challenge, The Boat Works is proud to be part of the crew behind him and onboard for the journey ahead.
