Kapal (previously named Victoria) was launched in 1971 by world-famous European shipyard, Feadship. This classic 86’ motor-yacht teems with history having sailed the seven oceans of the world, more than once. In early 2022 Proyacht was commissioned to take on some extensive re-fit work.
Scope of Re-fit included:
Full hull re-paint, carry out extensive exterior timber varnish work, install new 3-phase inverters, replace existing house & start batteries with latest new Lithium-Iron batteries.
Full service to underwater running gear, install a totally new Electronics package by Onboard Electrical, Re-design and build helm area, replace soft furnishings and carpets throughout, carry out extensive interior timber repairs and varnishing work, install new tender/boats, Repair and finish teak decks, replace portholes and windows, custom-make new portholes to suit current classic style, carry out extensive engine reconfigurations, install new air-conditioning system.
This project was carried out in the North Superyacht yard and took an army of trades approx. six months to complete.
