2016 brought about many changes to The Boat Works. We have now completed the statement entry with a eye catching 2nd Showroom to compliment the existing Lagoon offices. This completes the entry into Australia’s Greatest Boatyard within the Gold Coast Marine precinct.
Last year brought the following additions;
-A dedicated long term Hardstand storage area was finalised in March
-we welcomed new tenant partners onsite maximising our tenancys
-welcomed along new staff members
-created and encouraged a diverse group of business, sporting and community leaders to work with the Gold Coast waterways to explore the possibility of bringing national and international sailing events to the Gold Coast
-mid year we reached an incredible milestone of 1000 boats hauled out of the water, we celebrated this milestone by donating $10k to support the local Sailability disabled sailors Gold Coast club
-participated and flew the flag at the Airlie & Hamilton Island race week with the elite racing extreme 40 catamaran.
Moving into 2017 we are focused and committed to providing more exciting changes and improvements with emphasis on providing a world class service to all our customers.
The 23 acre Boatyard now accommodates 7000m2 of working outdoor Hardstand space, a 10,000m2 area of dedicated long term storage option, which has proven to be very populate and a safe haven for the transient customer base.
Final developments have brought way to 30 Refit sheds up to a height of 15m featuring screened options for controlled works to be undertaken. A covered Hardstand working area and 50 working berths for an in-water option for minor repairs.
An additional storage precinct incorporates an out of water boat display with an extensive range of vessels for sale by our onsite brokers.
Amenities – We know working within the yard can be tough especially within the elements. We aim to make your stay more comfortable with new additions to our amenities.
Courtesy vehicles – within the new year we will be announcing our partnership with a leading prestige car company. This will certainly offer another dimension to a ‘courtesy car’ option.
